HUD Secretary Donovan appeared at a NAR function earlier today, and this is an exact excerpt of his remarks:
"We all want to enable FHA consumers to access the tax credit funds when they close on their home loans so that the cash can be used as a down payment. So FHA will permit trusted FHA-approved lenders and HUD-approved nonprofits, as well as state and local governmental entities to "monetize" the tax credit through short-term bridge loans. We think the policy is a real win for everyone, ensuring that borrowers can tap into the numerous organizations that are already part of the FHA network to receive this additional benefit. FHA will be publishing the details shortly."
Thanks to all who made the FHA events in Santa Ana and Torrance a complete success. I apologize for the crowd in Santa Ana. We didn't anticipate so many people coming. If you missed any of the events, please visit our store at www.attitudethroughdiscipline.com/fha to purchase the audio.

The real testament of a person is how you handle life’s challenges and how they affect your desires. Face it, everyday we all have big challenges (don’t like the word: “problems” it’s a panic word). How you prioritize, how you react, and how you solve? The way you handle your challenges, is what makes you who you are. Think of just the last 24 hours, with your family, friends, at work, and financial situations, personal matters, there are many challenges that we come across on a daily basis. I know success in any of those listed take sacrifice and prioritizing. There is a map to success, it is not an easy one, but there is a map! I believe when faced with challenges in your life this is what to do: 1. Look at your options. 2. Realize what the possible outcome for each option. 3. Then see which outcome you want to make happen. With that, it defuses the not knowing, the stress, and the uncertainty of what is going to happen next. I always hear people say “It doesn’t matter in the big picture”... My response is; “What if your picture isn’t as big as mine? And what does your picture look like? ” As far as your business, in the juggle of your life, what is your big picture, and how many sales are in it? How are you going to make it happen? What are you willing to sacrifice? I believe in the minds of all of you, there is a top producer. However, what are your challenges each day that are stopping you from reaching higher levels? Today make a list of your challenges then after that make a list of your options. You will quickly realize things are not as bad as you think. There is a solution to success in life. You only have one so don’t wait to take action! Life comes at you fast, overcoming obstacles and solving challenges, will make you faster.
“Change equals stress and uncertainty, but if necessary to grow to any new level in your life. It is fun to embrace change because change happens!”
With all the changes in life, it made me think about the last five years. Are you the same person you were in 2002? In addition, with all the changes that have happened for the better; I would bet you’re a better person/sales person than you were back then.
I believe that people tend to over estimate what they can accomplish in one year, and grossly under estimate what they can accomplish in five years. As you keep that in mind, write down all the things you would like to change about yourself, and your time frame on it (Dates Drive Destiny). It does not have to happen this year, but believe me, 2012 will be here soon enough, and I believe your list will be 90% accurate on your changes, once YOU decide to change it.
The biggest commitment you can make to yourself is to be consistently changing and growing to be better. Things are going to change anyway, why not be in control of it?
